Our top five reasons why Cornwall is the ultimate destination

IT’S BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE

Quaint villages, country parks and the beaches. Cornwall’s coastline can’t be beaten whatever the season.

WATER SPORTS

We all know that when the sun is shining there’s only one way to cool off. With its long coastline and varying locations, Cornwall is the perfect spot for surfers of all levels – with Newquay, Polzeath and Bude all being renowned as some of the best spots for surfing.

MUSIC EVENTS

Live music at festivals, on the beach at Lusty Glaze or Perranporth, in the harbour of Port Isaac with the sea shanty ‘Fisherman’s Friends’ or at a local pub, Newquay and nearby hosts many famous international artists as well as local favourites in unique back drops and surroundings.

AMAZING EATERIES

Newquay and the surrounding area has become a culinary hub – any time of the day, whether it be overlooking the sea and the sand, in a local Cornish village or in the hustle and bustle of nearby Newquay or further afield. We’ve listed just some of our favourites here but there are many more and we are happy to answer any queries or offer recommendations.

CORNISH CREAM TEA

The cream tea has somehow become synonymous with Cornwall although many across the border will argue it originated in Devon. The premise is pretty simple; you slice a good fresh scone in half, spread on a good helping of strawberry jam and then add a generous dollop of clotted cream. All this is helped on its way with a lovely pot of tea. There is little to distinguish the Devon and Cornish cream tea but to those in the know the difference is a sacrilege. In Devon it is the cream which is applied first and then the jam. In Cornwall it is the reverse.
