Lastly, Nick and his family were really friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.”

“Nick and Lauren were the perfect hosts. Always available when needed and very helpful, but never in the way. Bullpen Cottage is a delightful, character-filled property, owned by a very talented and creative couple. Nick himself relatively recently renovated Bullpen to a very high standard, with beautiful finishes throughout. An amazing transformation of a 400 year old building. The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival. There are lots of thoughtful, yet high-tech touches, such as plenty of power outlets incorporating USB outlets. All this, in addition to lovely welcome gifts of chilled white wine in the fridge and, fresh out of Lauren’s oven, scones! As it was starting to get a little chilly in the evening, Nick provided us with some logs and fire starters to have a real wood fire. We didn’t need it at all, as the Nest thermostat provided abundant heat throughout the house. But who could resist sitting by a proper fire with a glass of something to warm the soul? We would have no hesitation in heartily recommending Bullpen Cottage.”
